As a contract research organization B‘SYS GmbH provides assistance to pharmaceutical settings. The company focuses on GLP testing of cardiac ion channels, manual and automated patch clamp screening of new substances. Our technological innovation provides electrophysiological tools and processes for HTS Drug Discovery needs in lead identification and candidate selection.
Together with our lab head/CSO you are responsible for the supervision and the management of the electrophysiology laboratory. You report to the CSO and the B’SYS management. You supervise and perform, if needed, GLP- and non-GLP studies and conduct electrophysiological studies as study director. You are responsible for communication with clients, quality assurance and project partners. This involves self-dependent planning, preparation and reporting of the studies. You will keep the general survey of extended test programs.
This position requires a university degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in biology, biochemistry or other relevant fields with a special expertise in electrophysiology and good skills in patch-clamping of voltage- and ligand activated ion channels. Maybe you are experienced with automatic patch-clamping systems (e.g. Sophion QPatch) and related data handling and maybe you had previous contacts with GLP or a comparable quality assurance system.
You are a communicative and resilient personality with excellent organizing ability and analytical mind. You like to lead a small team, are self-motivated and customer orientated. Social skills and reliability comes naturally to you. Good spoken and written English is a mandatory requirement for this position.
